I have used Prestone for years and years, never had a problem, even with cars that sat for a while. All have a mix of iron, aluminum, and brass.
Once I get the GTO ironed out and am sure I won't be breaking into the engine any time soon, I will probably switch to a HOAT, just so I don't have to change it every X years. I think they now go to 100k miles/10 years.
