If you're looking for sound and heat control on the roof specifically, you kind of do need to look at both a spray product and an absorption material.
As other have said, I'd use lizardskin spray on for your constrain layer. It's also going to cut a little heat out which will allow your adhesive backed insulation layer to stick better. I'm a big fan of the DEI under-carpet lite material. It's lightweight, moisture wicking and controls both heat and sound. Use the 3m general adhesive stuff and install it like you would if you were doing an alcantara headliner.
