Good that you used a checking spring.
Not meaning to tell you what to do, but seeing you have spent a bunch of money anyway. Get yourself a set of 1.5 Crower Stainless rockers. Yes the studs might be ok with different rockers. Another nice set of rockers is the Harland sharpe. I have run the Crower rockers for years with no issues.
