A very long time ago I had a 'experimental' Edelbrock cylinder head that was tested on David Vizard's flow bench.
I had the opportunity to have lunch with him then and found not only a nice fellow but pretty darn smart.
It was at that time I learned a bit about the K&N filters.
Take a few minites to watch this video starting at about 4.24 thru about 14.00
I believe what you hear will be very interesting.
Much more than they get more efficient when they get dirty !
Be patient and wait until the part about 'vibration'.
