For only 500 HP the stock intakes will suffice. I've done 455's in that hp range with stock unported factory intakes.
In fact the last one I did was with an aluminum RA IV/HO unported and it made 507hp/571tq on pump gas with a small hydraulic roller. Nice thing about them is everything bolts on like it should and they fit under any stock hood.
