Needless to say it took way too long to get it all figured out and the cam installed correctly. Some of those 9 keyway crank sprockets can be very confusing and yes I have installed them wrong more than once! They have an inner and outer set of numbers and they DO NOT align by design. The inner ring of numbers denotes the keyway your supposed to use. The outer ring of numbers denotes the actual tooth your supposed to line up with the cam sprocket. Not saying this is the mistake you made but it is very confusing. I use a paint pen to mark the two items I am shooting for. Keyway and crank tooth. Certainly possible something was made wrong as well.
