For the hyrdoboost, I agree 100 percent to not wing it, as for most things. I did consider grabbing one out of a scrap yard since many have successfully done this. I opted for a designed unit for my second gen to reduce potential problems. I have enough hassles with aftermarket mods so I avoid them as best I can (not always successfully LOL). With it I use a Wilwood master cylinder kit and proportioning valve. I use a one and one-eight boret. I am using my original OEM Saginaw power steering pump (now 50 years old. WOW) which I learned while planning the install was type one and was a go for the unit. Came with a mounting block that flawlessly bolted into the existing firewall mountings. Eight years and all good.
