Yes, the attaching point was added sometime in the 1966 model year production. I installed the 1967 set in my 1967. I say it that way because the shoulder belts for that model year where two belts and not the one piece design we all use now. For '67, one belt attached in the roof rail, and the other using the existing bolt for the seat belt. It just fits right on top. Then they latch together. This site was very helpful to me for the installation. The installation instructions may be in the 1968 service manual for your car, or in a dealer bulletin. For '67 you don't need to remove the headliner, you can feel where the attaching point is. I am pretty sure I bought the kit from Ames. It's perfect.
