Not a Pontiac motor but the carb info is valid. This is a 93 pump gas street/strip setup, idles with 13" of vac. The 800 CFM Qjet made just 2 hp (608 vs 610) and 7 ft lb shy of a Holley 950 Ultra HP. This was an 80805 with 1.60" venturis and 1.75" throttle blades. The standard, widely accepted "recipes" fall short when making 600+ hp with a Qjet; you have to get the rear air doors open to maximum in order to flow the air, mine was as much as 1.190" as measured in the book. And with the air door open that far, you have to ensure you have the fuel delivery; I had to use the larger secondary floor disc jets.
