I put an inexpensive "Skip White Racing" HEI in my car back in 2010 when they were all the rage. My old Delco had worn out the bushings and had developed an excessive amount of end play causing spark scatter (high RPM miss).
At that time the distributors came in a box marked TSP (Top Street Performance) and were considered one of the more reliable import HEI distributors. I ran it for 10 years with only an advance spring change. For no particular reason, I recently replaced the internals and cap with NOS Delco parts and I expect continued trouble-free service from it.
