Some of you guys have a big misconception of how you think things should be or how things are.
Just because it's old tech doesn't mean in the slightest it's unreliable. That's young mentality thinking from people that didn't live it or don't have a real understanding of how to fix and tune the old stuff and would rather modernize it
The 2 cars we drive the most to the tune of over 100,000 miles combined in the last few years both have their original points ignition systems and they are rock solid reliable. A power tour is chump change compared to the amount we drive these cars
Honestly I would be more concerned with a car running electronic ignition, especially the new PI stuff or what ever it's called.
This dinosaur mentality all over the Internet with modern swaps that are pushed way too often has really ruined a large part of the hobby as a whole. It' unfortunately appears to be changing the mindset of the up and coming car enthusiasts. I don't need a modern efi motor to traverse my daily life activities.
