You may have dodged a bullet....I have never seen a rear main on a Pontiac crack like that and I have taken a ton apart. You may have already had a small crack starting and when you tightened it down, it may have finished it off. Find a shop that knows Pontiacs like stated and see if they can find one close so all you need is a touch with a line hone.
