lash caps are offered in .0600 and .100
yes the sides will need to be trimmed to fit the follower groove.
Good point on wiping a cam and being stuck with a longer valve.
That said Ive never wiped a cam.
I remember a fellow forum member wiping a new cam due to not dressing up the lobes
on new followers.
When you cut a cover you must mechanically retime the camshaft.
What size lash cap would you need for the cam youre running?
I have different regrinds from more than one source
2 from Crane,2 from Crower and some left from my sales of regrind/exchange
units before there were any repops made
Keep in mind there is some"adjustment" or compensation with lash adjusters
