Need to clean up some chassis grease that made its way onto suspension parts on a highly detailed restored 65. GTO. I need something that will NOT damage the paint under the dirt/grease, so that may rule out any petroleum based product. What does that leave……citrus based? I recall Prep Sol from decades ago, but not sure this would not bleach out, fade, etc the underlying paint. Also not even sure this is still made. Have some wax and grease remover(forget what brand) but not sure what this would do to paint. Maybe try a test somewhere on my old mini van first. What do you guys suggest!?
