This didnt happen today... finished up on it Sunday. Its been an ongoing winter project that spun a little out of control. Pleased with the results tho. I had the Quadrajet rebuilt after the Christmas holiday on my 70 Formula 400. Once I got it back I knew I was gonna have to refurbish the rest of the engine bay to match how nice the carb looked. So... off we went. 4 months later, after rebuilding the original alternator, water pump, & power steering pump, Plus having the original radiator re-cored she's back together. Also replaced a pretty worn timing chain. I tried to return it to as close to stock as I could. It was pretty much stock when I started. Just 56yrs & 99K miles of dirt & grim caked all over. Its not quite ready to fire yet, & I want my son-in-law here for an extra hand in case we encounter any issues. He's out of town for vacation until next week, then I have a 4 day weekend for the 4th, so it'll probably wait til after that. Hopefully she's back pounding the pavement soon! The last picture is what the engine bay looked like when it was for sale(Oct/24) & what it looks like now.
