Congrats David! Mid 90's managed to track diwn the original WM shortblock out of my '72. Fortunately the boys that had it had not had it but for a few years & were willing to part with it.

Occasionally, its a simple matter of geography & sometines, esp if its the sticks, parts didn't wander far. Jack Peters managed to find the original '71 WC HO shortblock out of his T-37 Coupe. Well known Pontiac racer nearby in Anchorage (& fellow PY member) had it.

On a '79 400 4spd T/A project I picked up years ago, I built the fellow a disc rear for his '80 T/A & ended up buying his '79 400 4spd T/A partially disassembled. One small frustration at the time was the car's original Pwh engine was complete & setting in the fellows garage but I couldnt get him to sell me the engine. Mentioned "When you want to sell it, give me a buzz". Sure enough a few months later a few weeks before Christmas I was able to reunite the engine with the car.
