Most all choke assemblies from other Rochester carbs work on our '65 or earlier Tri-Powers, but you need to be careful. Some choke coils are the reverse of ours, so you need to pull off the coil and install it upside down. I found out when a Tri-Power I restored had the choke close as the engine warmed up instead of opened as it should.

It's easy to check this by heating the coil slightly and observing the direction the tab moves as the coil heats. It needs to move CCW as you look at it from the inside. Same story for electric or stock coil.
