I thought I had to pull the rocker trim to move the fenders - turns out I did not need to move them. The repop clips that come with the trims are too long and distort the trim. I removed them and trimmed off 1/16" off the top and clipped the edges for easier mounting as shown below, as well as shortening the screw heads for clearance - worked very well!

Distortion went 95% away when remounted.



I also buffed out the wheelwell trim also - noted with disgust the overspray from the previous painter who could not be arsed* to remove them.
