Default Who knows diesel trucks and current values?

I know very little about the diesel truck market. Aside from the 12v is the equivalent of an SBC and that diesels are hot right now. Especially around here.

I’m considering selling my 1964 4 speed Galaxie. Just time to move on to something else. I value it between 16-18k. Nice solid driver.

Dude today offered me a straight trade for a 1996 Ram 2500 with 154k on it. Automatic. I initially said I wasn’t interested but it’s a super clean truck for the Midwest.

Old guy owned, no rust. Some small tuner upgrades but not beat on. He said he only has a few hundred miles on it since the diesel shop had it. Injectors, pump, that sort of thing. And those ugly wheels that all the kids like on trucks right now. No dash cracks. Ac and everything works.

To be fair is still have no interest in the truck, but might do the trade because I think the truck might be easier to sell. Lots of tire kickers when selling hot rods. I also think I might come out just slightly on top with the trade. I think there is a chance the truck might being 19-20k. It’s so hard to find them not beat up it’s kinda hard to price check in the current market. My truck expert buddy said it would be the holy grail if it were a stick, but being an automatic standard cab the floor is probably 16k.

I’m looking to get into a c3 or maybe a 99-2009 Porsche 911

Anybody on here?
