Diesel truck prices have always been high, but lately they've gone into the stratosphere.

12V Cummins are great trucks with a huge following. I know every region has different pricing scales, but up here clapped out 12Vs go for good money. It's not uncommon to see trucks needing fenders, rockers, cab corners, and lower doors selling for 6-8k.

The truck you're looking at looks like it's in amazing shape from the pics. While it's true that a crew cab manual is king of the 2nd gen Rams, a clean regular cab 4x4 is still worth a pretty penny.

Up here that truck could sell for 16-18k if you held out for the right buyer. It might take a little while to find that guy though. Me personally, I dont like trades. If I want to get rid of a vehicle, I want cash, that way I can shop around and buy what I want. If I still have to sell what I traded for, I'm no better off than I was before the trade.
