I've had the dump tubes in front of the rear axle and I think it contributed to nose inside the car. Same mufflers and tailpipes added ('68 Firebird) and the car was a lot quieter inside. My '69 GTO has stock exhaust tailpipes and I like the look of the tip of the pipe poking out under the corner of the bumper. Quiet too.
