I'm glad you've now got a "plan"- hope it works well.
I wouldn't bother trying for stud oiling, as you'll get plenty of oil to the ball/rocker area via the pushrod route. I'd prefer to keep the known-compatible rockers and balls together (the new ones you're buying).
