Dupont 615s Vari-Prime was a self-etching zinc primer/sealer.
Could topcoat right on top of it too - Lucite, Dulux, Centari, Imron -by the book 
Some can, some cannot.
Rust-Oleum self-etching primer is one that can.

Don’t know what tech sheets you are reading...but DuPont 615 CANNOT BE TOP COATED WITHOUT BEING PRIMED Or Sealed.. it’s false info like this,that gets the hobby enthusiasts in trouble. But anyone using any products should read the tech sheets for themselves .
