I've got a new set of Eaton leaf springs and would like to paint them before installing. I could see slight rust forming between the leaves as they've been sitting for a year in storage so I disassembled them. I would like them to be as close as I can get them to the original gray phosphate finish. What kind of paint / primer works well for this? I don't want it to flake off from the flexing.
