I'm hearing different plants used different foams depending on the year. And post-73, the seat frames are different for the rears. A mix of rear seat frames of some being a one layer frame, with thick foams that had springs in them, and 2 layer frames that had a thinner layer of foam.

I started a thread on it, and not getting much input, but am starting to think I may just 'convert' my rear seat frames to the one layer type, since the foams are very detail-formed. But am waiting to see if anyone can provide input.

I'm not clear on the front seat frames & foams, in my case, I'm using aftermarket seats.
