I have a May 13 1969 WQ block with no S/N on it anywhere!! This was removed from a Hondo speed boat built in 1970 so not sure if it was ever in a car…. Unfortunately with a hairline crack across #2 main from its boating days, I never have used the block.
Also, as a real odd ball, I have a 1970 block WQ, with a June 14, 69 build date no S/N and motor mount bosses set up same as the 1969. Not sure with the 1969 year being elongated that the ‘70 blocks were already being forged so they got used?? Odd things happened I guess..
