or look for a complete running but rusted out parts car, you can usually find something under $2000 in my area and at least you can drive the engine and see how it runs & drives. That way you get everthing you should need (with the exeption of Motor mounts depending on the body style) |
Well I found a 400 today, came with all the pullies, brackets, alternator and power steering pump Only thing missing is the carb and aircleaner. Also got a flexplate, starter, and 350 turbo. Only problem is it's a 76 motor which is low compression, but probably feels a lot better than the 301! I don't suppose the ypipe on the 301 will work?
