I asked the same question about rear shocks back in December, here's that discussion: https://forums.maxperformanceinc.com...d.php?t=855458 Apparently the deal is the lower mounting stud is included with 1961 shocks but isn't included with 1962 shocks, so you have to press the stud out of your old shock and reuse it with the new one.

I have copy of John Gunnell's book '75 Years of Pontiac-Oakland' that was published in 1982 by Crestline. It has a limited amount of pricing info including base prices for some models as well as prices for a few options (for instance, base price for a Bonneville two door hardtop was $3,255, and 8 lug wheels were a $107.06 option.) If there's a specific model or option you're interested in, let me know and I'll check to see if it's included in the book.
