But they won’t. FL building codes call for Simpson clips on all roof trusses in residential dwellings. Simpson clips are allegedly good up to 140 mph. The company that brought our house up to code told me not to count on it holding much over 120 mph. Ian made landfall with winds at 150+ mph. God help those who chose to “hunker down”. We haven’t heard from our friends in Ft. Myers since last night. We are hoping for the best.
