The only real difference is (other than casting #s) the RAIV is 'precision cast' and the HO is a regular sand casting. There is NO difference whatsoever in flow or runner design between the two. The RAIV is more valuable than the HO, looks like you are about to be taken for a ride. [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif[/img]

Performance-wise neither one of those rare aluminum intakes flows or performs quite as well as a plain-ol' cast iron Q-jet intake made from '67-72 believe it or not. Tested a '69 iron intake, performed a hair better than my '71 HO that was port-matched to my '71 HO heads (x-over removed and blocked off). The '69 intake was run with NO mods, even the exhaust x-over was functional! [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif[/img]

The RAIV and HO intakes are great if you are restoring a car that needs one, but spending money on one for extra performance is a waste! They DO look cool [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif[/img] though.
