I could not tell you what somebody did before 1976. What I do know is I have changed the rear end in 1980 (no spacers in the rear), changed the front and rear springs in 1981 with stock springs I ordered and it has stock front a-arms and spindles (no spacers in the front). Nothing I did has ever changed the height. I often thought about lowering it and what it would take.
