I've bought that car 20 years ago because of the performance possibilities it presents when building it yourself as a hobby.

Performance wise I'm no competition for a Tesla , it will leaf you burning rubber without any sound or drama.
And I have to say I really love that and respect the tecnology behind it.
Because they don't blow hugh amounts of unburned fuel into the air , leak oil everywhere and need very little maintenance.
Only thing is the batteries , don't know about the future implications of those .

It just kinda put a negative spin on my hobby.

Just venting.
You're right, what the hell are you doing keeping your Goat?!? Owning one is more than just performance, especially compared with today's technology. It's being willing to get your hands dirty changing the oil, dialing in the points, repacking the wheel bearings, listening to the "sound or drama" of the trips opening up. Where do you think the juice for this electric car comes from? How 'bout coal and gas fired plants!? Sell your GTO, your negative spin will disappear. Just venting
