The EV pickups have such a long ways to go to catch up to what a lot of people use their pickup for, it is hard to imagine them selling on much of a large scale. All our Diesel pickups we run have more range towing heavy stuff than any of those EV pickup’s that aren’t pulling ANYTHING. For normal driving at our Diesel pickups get about 25 mpg and will go 900 miles on a tank of fuel. The range they talk about for some of the EV’s pickups is about the same as my pickup when I tow our 47 foot race trailer. I guess the EV pickup would work ok if you just make super short trips and if you just want to use it like a car? Seems completely insane.
