I believe the dash bird was for cars without a/c & gauges - to more or less break up the blankness of the dash;
I have seen many additions to the dash, but none quite as subtle as that one!
I actually missed the added bird emblem there by the rear defog switch.

I also thought that only the service replacement tips had the part number stamped on them(??).
