This is a kit for a 67-69 Camaro. I'm pretty sure it has many GM applications, not just Chevy. Instead of the J-hook, this ribbed plastic bushing is a light press fit. I think I ran into the same issue when I swapped out the standard wheel in my '70 Tempest for the Formula wheel.
