Some of the early 1965 421 motors where STILL using the basically steel version of the cast armsteel Rods, I know as I have taken apart not one, but two of the 370 hp rated short blocks and both of them where made as such!

I know, I was left scratching my head also!

I think I still have the block production dates of those two short blocks in my info , I will look.

The 990 Crank was only fordge for usage in the SD motors, and I can guarantee you that none, zip zero ever found there way into a production line 421!
