I was worried about them being too bright for me at night. On my newer vehicles I drive at night with them at the lowest setting so I'm not blinded. With this setup, I didn't dim them at all while driving at night, I guess because it is an "around the dial" lighting and not shining directly at you. But just to show the difference, I went in the shop with the lights out and took a pic at full brightness and the lowest brightness, just before they went out completely.
