It may be worth doing a little legwork...check around for reputable auto upholstery shops in your area (you haven't included your location in your signatur, so unfortunately no one here can provide recommendations) and visit them to talk about your situation. Have them show you a sample of the material they would use, ask about the seams, etc., and then get an estimate of the cost.
