9 to 1, 462 Pontiac

1975 455 2-bolt block, magged, soniced, acid cleaned, align honed, square and zero decked, short-filled, + .030 bore size, ARP main studs, and BOP Viton main seal.

Pontiac 455 "N" crank std./std., bearing surfaces micro-polished, chamfered oil feeds, and FM main/ cam bearings/Clevite rod bearings.

Probe SRS forged pistons, light wristpins, and Total Seal file-fit rings.

Crower Sportsman, forged steel rods.

Matched & balanced rotating assembly w/ TCI SFI-approved flexplate and Pioneer SFI-approved balancer.

4X-7H 99cc Pontiac heads, relieved for 1.65 rocker pushrod clearance, ported to flow 255cfm @ .550 lift on the intake side by Flowtech, "421" head cooling mod, SI ss valves: 2.11/1.77, Chevy 7/16" rocker studs, Crower 68404 springs setup @ 108# closed and 288# open/1.620 installed height, ARP head bolts, and bronze valve guides/Viton umbrella seals.

Ho Racing HC-03 cam; 244/252 @ .050, .548/.563 lift , 108 IC, installed 4 degrees advanced, 1.65 HS full roller rockers, 5/16" Pioneer pushrods, Rhoads "cool face" style lifters, and Sims Machine Torrington thrust bearing timing chain setup.

Milodon stock replacement style 6 qt. oil pan, Melling #10540 60# oil pump, loctited pickup, "Dude" crank scaper, remote oil filter: Butler engine adapter, -8 ss lines, TD oil filter adapter, Moroso racing oil filter, and oil pressure sensed @ top of the block.

Cliff's 850cfm Q-jet, RA 4 gasket matched RPM intake/milled .070 in order to align ports and bolt holes, -8 ss feed & return fuel lines, Aeromotive SS pump/return-style regulator/fuel filters, and sumped stock gas tank.

Doug's headers; 3" Pypes X pipe, 3" electric cutouts, 3" 50 series Flows, and 2.5" full length tailpipes.

MSD ready-to-run distributor w/34 total degrees timing (20 in the dist. @ 1800rpm and 14 initial)/6AL ignition box/SS coil, and Moroso 8mm ignition wires.

Beefed 700R4 trans., Hughes deep pan, B & M Quicksilver shifter, B & M Super cooler, tight non-lockup 10" Continental 2800 stall converter, 3" Chromoly d/shaft, d/shaft loop, HR Parts & Stuf rr anti-rollbar, QA 1 shocks, no-hops, adjustable upper and boxed lower rr control arms, Chevy 12 bolt: welded tubes, 3:31 oem gears, Eaton posi, ARP studded main cap, steel axles, 4 wheel disc brakes, and 8" X 15" Weld Draglite wheels/4.5" backspace w/ M/T 28/10.5/15S (stiff sidewalls).

Cooling: Rodney Red radiator, B & M Super cooler, short-filled block, "421 head cooling mod", Milodon 11-bolt water pump, vented hi-flow 180 thermostat, and Spal dual 11" electric fans.

DRAGSTRIP RESULTS @ 3860# w/o driver and 1/2 tank of gas:
