My guess is that you have a water switch transducer Part number 6490440 that uses the spade terminal. Possible someone converted your cluster from the warning light (with the spade terminal) to the gauge package (that uses the round terminal). It is possible that you current connector has the indent in the plastic to fit either switch. Or someone just replaced the original and put in the wrong switch.
