Since no one has replied to your question, I read a lot on the subject on this forum and this is what I think:
(1) yes
(2) Do the Aluminum heads the same way, the holes are "not" drilled from the Manufacture, as far as I have read. It is especially important to drill the holes between the 2 Siamese Exhaust ports.
