Is your trunk lid flush with the panel behind the rear window, or is it lower? If it's lower, you can put a thin washer between the hinge and the trunk on the bolts toward the front of the car, that will cause the trunk to be more flush at the back tail panel. I had a similar problem when I replaced the trunk molding on my '67.
