I about doubled over
What it REALLY is - is a factory Pontiac reel out underhood light ,,,, from the mid 60's full size line.
Half of the lense is red as a distress signaler (dual purpose)
Its made similar to the reel out trunk lights of the mid 60's Pontiacs , but more scarce.
The headlight timer remark was perfect timing for that appliance
62 heads would be off camber.
The switch next to door locks "should be" rear window de-icer or defogger
I don't believe this car is anything more than a vision.
Looks repainted too.
It is 35 minutes from me at Greensboro Auto Auction.
If its still there in a couple weeks I will go investigate it.
It is probably not going anywhere real soon unless a big sucker comes along.
