Misterp266, the winter of '78 was bad, February of 78 was when I started working for Anchor Mtr Frt and had to lad car and drive in it to
deliver them. But the winter of '77 up in Northern NY from Syracuse up to the Canadian border and east was worse.... at least for us.

Back in '58 when I was a kid was the worst winter storm I've ever been in I'd say. There was so much snow it was blown from the roads
and the snowbanks were maybe a foot below the power lines. At least you didn't have to worry about sliding off the road. The sides of the road
were one big snow barrier for miles and miles.
