Well it's bad news for the 57-wagon, was gona take it on it's first test
drive today and it kept acting like it was running out of fuel it had done
it a couple times when running it in the shop well then it started poping
and mis fireing so I started checking this and that and I believe the fuel
line back by the tank is losse and sucking air but the misfireing had me
puzuled. Last night I had filled the radiater and thought I would check
to see if it needed any water and it was dry again so yep I pulled the
dip-stick and milk half way up the stick. All the water is in the pan.
Now I ran this motor on my test stand and all was good but I never run
any water in the motor never got it overly hot not at all I had started
it in the car quite a few times also. the motor sounds like a beast.
No problems what so ever untill I put water in it. I never took it to
my machine shop cause it had nearly perfect bores just did some
major kleen-up. Never would of thought it would have an internal
crack in it so the last 6-months of time on this thing was a waist.
I could of repaired one of my other cars and been racing this summer.
So I'm going to step back and figure out what I'm going to do.
