The type 12Si is a newer upgrade of the 10si, and has same size and plastic fan in front.

I agree, the Grid types draw More current for longer periods. I have Never seen a 1970 with the rear window grid system.

Well me either I got the blow wet motor and it would be nice to see and also thank you guys for helping me get a lid on what alternator I need and I believe I have a few . Bit yes would be nice to see this grid style defroster,I'm thinking a car in a cold area and we all know what happens to cars in cold states.
