I have a 68 Tempest. I am researching eliminating the external regulator in the harness. I know there are jumper plugs for the VR pigtail. Also people have replicated it with jumper wires, The issue is there are two patterns that have been done. Either (F to 4 / 2 to 3) or (F to 3 / 2 to 4). I don't know what is in the fancy plug. The second issue that my colors don't match my 68 Pontiac service manual.
My harness is Blue(F), - BLK/Wh(2) - BLK/Red(3) - Brn(4)
while the wiring diagram pg 12-7 shows:
BLK/W(F) - Blue(2) - BLK/Red(3) - Brn(4)
