The Tomahawk was designed by PPR to meet the Street/Strip needs of a broad market segment for owners of Pontiacs with an intake that will fit under the hood and feed 300 cfm cylinder heads.

As can be seen the Tomahawk intake will port match to the FelPro 1233 intake gasket with no issues. As cast it's port exit dimensions are actually small and was done for marketing to allow the intake to work on unported factory heads.
If necessary it can go to 2.300" tall ports without welding. However if done so there is not much material to seal at that height, about 1/8" or so.
