About ten years ago, i had two of my cars and one of my friends cars painted at my local Maaco.
Single stage metallic urethane. They said they added clear to it.
Turned out great.
Last year I sent a friend with a Grabber Maverick to another Maaco, near him.
Single stage Orange.
It cost about $1100. It looks OK. a bit thin in some places.

I brought my car back to my local Maaco for an estimate, yesterday. It had some scratches, etc.; nothing much wrong.

My arrangement:
No body work.
I will do ALL of the sanding and disassembly of wing, mirrors, grilles, rockers, etc.
No jambs. ( i'd just done them last year)
No Bake.
Base coat/ Clear coat. Same color
$2400
I gave my deposit, and scheduled for July 27th.
