Larry thanks for your reply. I have another question if you don’t mind, I can buy a posi & 3:08 nos gears from a 71 big car Pontiac. Guy tells me that only needs to be done is to change the yoke and maybe cut the drive shaft and that should work. After reading what you wrote I have some doubts about it since you mentioned about the pinion spline is 28 in the 71’s and 30 spline in my 67. Can you give me your opinion on this? The gears are Nos and the posi is rebuilt.
I put in a 421 factory motor from a 66 2+2 with 3x2’s and stroked the motor bored .060.
